ABSTRACT
Modern precast concrete construction is becoming an increasingly important part of contemporary construction, offering benefits such as reduced construction time, lower labour requirements, more effective quality control, improved occupational safety and enhanced production efficiency. The global precast concrete market is expected to continue growing, with a compound annual growth rate exceeding 4 % in the period 2025–2030. In 2026, Europe is expected to account for approximately 24 % of global precast concrete market revenues, while over the next five years the share of the Asia-Pacific region may increase to more than 45 %, with approximately half of this market associated with China. Poland accounts for approximately 1 % of the global market and is among the major precast concrete producers in Europe. The development of precast construction is driven by increasing infrastructure investment, urbanization, modular construction, digitalization and growing demand for sustainable and low-carbon solutions. At the same time, the sector faces challenges related to high capital requirements, logistics, shortages of skilled labour, the need for decarbonization and limited natural aggregate resources. Low-clinker cements, recycled materials, closed-loop material systems, as well as the ongoing digitalization of both precast production and the management of the entire investment process, will therefore play an important role in the further development of modern precast concrete construction.
