The paper discusses the statistical analysis of the effect of changes in plasterboard core density on the mechanical strength of the core. ANOVA and linear regression were used for the analysis of the results obtained. Gypsum core samples, fabricated manually in molds, and formed continuously on the production line were analysed. The analysis shows that statistically significant changes in the gypsum core density do not always entail statistically significant changes in core strength. There is also a statistically significant, moderate correlation between core strength and core density.
